Cantigi is a sub-district in Indramayu Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia. Cantigi District consists of 7 villages/subdistricts.
Lack of information regarding Fishermen’s catch (location, number of catches, types of fish, etc.).
90% of fishermen do not use cold chain and 70% of fishing is done by habit.
Low production of processed fishery products.
The processing capacity of fishery products is still low.
The growth of the fishery product processing industry has not been maximized.
Marketing of processed fishery products has not been maximized.
There is no adequate storage facility for fishery products.
Income per capita
Indonesia is a maritime and archipelagic country with 62% of its area having seas and waters that have the potential for extraordinary wealth of marine resources. The Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KPP) has designed a blue economy implementation strategy, however, the strategy for developing marine, coastal and freshwater aquaculture has not carried out periodic water quality measurements.
